Company leverages up and coming locations throughout China
SAN RAMON, Calif. - November 3, 2008 - Achievo® Corporation, a software outsourcing and information technology services provider, today announced it has opened a new software development center (SDC) in Guangzhou, China to better service its customers worldwide and to take advantage of the growing strategic importance of this city. Achievo offers its clients local account management and project delivery capabilities through its regional offices in Japan, North America, Europe and Greater China that are integrated with and supported by its offshore delivery centers in China and its headquarters in the United States.
Achievo's new SDC is located in Science City of Guangzhou, a new, state-of-the-art technology center developed with strong support from the Guangzhou government. The Guangzhou government is committed to making Science City an important technology destination for IT outsourcing in China. Achievo's new SDC in Science City replaces the company's current location at Zhongshan Road in Guangzhou, which currently seats 143 employees. Achievo's new 3000 square meter SDC in Science City of Guangzhou can accommodate up to 350 employees.
Achievo's Guangzhou operations are geared to providing expertise in telecom applications, business intelligence solutions, and IT services for a wide variety of customers, including China Mobile, China Southern Airlines, CA, Global Sources and Guangdong Telecom. Achievo's Guangzhou SDC has extensive capabilities in J2EE, .NET, and embedded software and utilizes a certified and proven development methodology. Achievo believes the Guangzhou SDC is well positioned to accommodate an increase in projects from its North American Business Group.

Guangzhou, formerly known as Canton, is the capital of Guangdong Province, located in the southern part of the People's Republic of China, about 75 miles northwest of Hong Kong. As illustrated by the development of Science City, the Guangzhou government is providing significant resources and preferential policies toward supporting high technology outsourcing.
To help meet the expanding demand for software development and IT outsourcing, Achievo has established joint training agreements with educational institutions throughout China, including the Zhuhai Institute of Jilin University located in Zhuhai, a city in Guangdong Province. Achievo began employing technical graduates from Zhuhai Institute in late 2006.
